TECHNOLOGIES | Titan Data Vault Server

The Server's key function in addition to the on-line transaction processing with clients is to migrate and purge backup data. Based on the parameters defined by the Titan Data Vault Agent (via the Administrator ) each backup has a life span and may be migrated from on-line storage to archive storage before being purged at end of life. The Server will reside on a LAN with one to many network connections. The network interfaces will support the variety of communication types requested by the clients connecting to the Server.

There could be a mix of;
ISDN routers - supporting 1 - N simultaneous ISDN connections
Frame Relay routers - supporting links to Frame Relay clouds
High Speed Routers - to support high speed connections to the Internet or directly to client networks

Some Server sites may have a separate LAN configuration to support Internet connections and a separate LAN configuration to support private network connections. Usually, each Server site has a Web page residing on an HTTP server for downloading the latest versions of the Titan Data Vault client software and to support automatic registration of demonstration accounts.
