TECHNOLOGIES | Titan Data Vault Server
The Titan Data Vault Server system operates on a dedicated hardware
configuration which consists of one or more CPU's and RAID arrays. The Server
is an application that operates on Microsoft's NT operating system. For all
intents and purposes, the Server is a "black box" that provides
backup and restore functionality to any number of remote Titan Data Vault
Agents (or clients). The Server acts like an Internet application similar
to the HTTP standard that implements the world-wide-web. The Server utilizes
the BRTP protocol to connect and communicate with clients (ie. Titan Data
Vault Agents) on TCP Port 2546.
The Server is a multi-tasking application and as such, can support many simultaneous
backups and restore sessions with clients.
